Description Dan Winship 2002-10-17 17:03:54 UTC
This is a tracking bug for things we do or don't do to interoperate
with Outlook. It's secret for now, so don't explicitly make any other
bugs depend on it.

Without even getting into most icalendar issues:

TNEF support (bug 200232, although we don't ship gtnef yet, and we don't
support meeting/task requests over TNEF)

Dealing with broken use of multipart (bug 202741)

No Content-ID in multipart/mixed (bug 210032)

multipart/alternative meeting requests (bug 211573) is WONTFIX because
of Outlook bugs (bug 214705)

Support windows charsets declared as ISO charsets (bug 212631)

We don't do inline pgp. Outlook doesn't do PGP/MIME. (bug 217540,
bug 217541)

Problem with commas in TZIDs (bug 220076)

"tentative" and "out-of-office" meeting statuses aren't available
(http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=22448)

iCalendar vs CDO task statuses (bug 225711 and others)

vcard forwarding problems (http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=26799)

"don't pgp sign imip messages" (bug 228737)

icalendar task attachments crash Outlook (http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=30638)
Comment 1 Dan Winship 2002-11-22 21:05:42 UTC
Christine: this is the "reasons we should have an Outlook-compat
mode" tracking bug
Comment 2 Gerardo Marin 2003-08-12 05:33:39 UTC
Sounds like 2.0?
Comment 3 Dan Winship 2003-08-12 13:54:04 UTC
Um... I don't know. This is a large-ish change and it hasn't
been discussed.
Comment 4 Gerardo Marin 2004-01-28 05:37:56 UTC
Retargeting 1.5.3->1.5.4 bug reports. Sorry for the spam.
Comment 5 JP Rosevear 2004-08-02 03:33:35 UTC
Nothing on the list thats left is 2.0.
Comment 6 André Klapper 2005-04-27 14:33:16 UTC
adding more stuff, retargetting from 2.1 to 2.3.
most of this has to be tested and checked (adding qa keyword).

Comment 11 Dan Winship 2007-08-17 00:24:45 UTC
Is this bug still useful to anyone? As comment #1 says, this bug was originally about having a global "Outlook compatible / Rest-of-the-universe compatible" mode, which AFAIK has not been on the table since the pre-Novell days.
Comment 12 Matthew Barnes 2008-03-11 00:26:20 UTC
Bumping version to a stable release.

I agree, closing as obsolete.
