GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 228469
all-day meeting requests show up wrong in Outlook
Last modified: 2006-09-05 07:12:15 UTC
If you try to schedule an all-day meeting with an Outlook user, Outlook shows it as a request for a 24-hour meeting instead, because the request doesn't have the X-MICROSOFT-CDO-ALLDAYEVENT property. The calendar needs to copy the logic from connector about setting that flag. (As with X-MICROSOFT-CDO-REPLYTIME, it shouldn't affect anything else.)
the other direction is also broken (sending an all-day appointment from outlook to evolution)
Ok, so there is no easy way to preserve the current all day event semantics for evo-evo imip messages and unless we rely on the CDO all day event X property, which seems highly wrong. We probably need to fix evolution to understand DATE and DATE-TIME events or only use DATE-TIME's for all day events like previously.
Moving ahead because we don't have a clean solution and it looks like a problem with outlook according to their knowledge database.
Futuring this one
We should check to see if this bug exists in newer versions.
adding the connector keyword.
Behaviour of all day event from evolution to outlook and vice versa behaves as expected. So marking as 'Obsolete'.
