Description Dan Winship 2001-10-03 14:58:31 UTC
(This would probably require both calendar and mailer work.)

It would be clever if instead of sending just text/calendar attachments
for meeting requests, if we instead did something like:

Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="=-="

--=-=
Content-Type: text/plain

Dan Winship has sent you an iCalendar meeting request, which your
email client does not know how to automatically process. Here
is the information about the proposed meeting:

...

You should reply to the sender saying whether or not you are
available at this time.

--=-=
Content-Type: text/calendar; method=REQUEST

BEGIN:VCALENDAR
...
END:VCALENDAR
--=-=--
Comment 1 Dan Winship 2001-12-06 04:17:13 UTC
of course, this is now co-dependent with the "support as many
versions of outlook as we can" bug
Comment 2 Luis Villa 2001-12-07 17:31:16 UTC
Tentatively marking major; I wish we had better guidelines for marking
features as opposed to bugs. :/
Comment 3 Luis Villa 2001-12-19 21:39:01 UTC
Moving rescheduled 1.2 bugs to future en masse; sorry if your bug didn't make
the cut.
Comment 4 Dan Winship 2002-02-25 16:47:03 UTC
We can't do multipart/alternative, because it breaks certain
configurations of outlook. See also 20780 though.
