Can I ask you to please provide me with the po files instead of the diffs, so that I can commit them? If you could provide a tarball with all of them, that would make me very happy =D
I'll e-mail you tomorrow (2006-10-28) at night with the tarball.
Created attachment 77191 [details] Tarball with the PO files This tarball contains the all PO files previously which diffs where previously attached to this bug report. All files where updated against current l10n-status.gnome.org, and I translated some fuzzy or untranslated strings. Gnome-utils has a lot of untranslated strings, mainly from baobab; I used baobab.HEAD.pt_BR.po as a "compendium" for msgmerge, with modest results.
Created attachment 77192 [details] Tarball with diffs for the same PO files
Created attachment 79061 [details] Updated tarball with the 51 PO files I have being updating theses files for almost 3 months now. I now it's a scary bug, but I'd be grateful if someone took the time to commit the files.
Created attachment 79343 [details] [review] revision.po.tar.bz2 -bug-buddy.(HEAD|gnome-2-16).pt_BR.po: Now in bug #391750 -ekiga.(HEAD|gnome-2-14).pt_BR.po: Now in bug #392084 -dasher.(HEAD|gnome-2-16).pt_BR.po: Now in bug #391369
eog.* shouldn't be commited; bug #392971 is better.
Created attachment 81829 [details] [review] gnome-control-center HEAD: updated diff
Created attachment 81839 [details] [review] gnome-utils.HEAD: updated diff
gconf: fixed in SVN. - "caracter" -> "caractere"; - "`%s'" -> "'%s'"; - others.
glib: - same as above. - updated. - "o URI", not "a URI".
Committed! Thank you! A few fixes: - "Houve um problema ao extrair o tema" instead of "Houve um problema enquanto extraía o tema"; - "Favor instale": I'm sorry, but I can't agree with you. It's either "Favor instalar" or "Por favor, instale". - Inital Caps and end punctuation.
The above message was about gnome-control-center. The following message applies to gnome-utils. Committed, thanks! There were some string changes in gnome-utils, so I completed the translation. Fixes: - "Status" -> "Estado" - "Impossível" -> "Não foi possível" - Reverted "Formatar disquetes" to "Formate disquete". This is the standard for application descriptions. - "Reportar" isn't the same as "relatar". - "Show" should be translated as "mostrar", not "exibir" (which is the standard translation for "display"). - Inital Caps and end punctuation. It would have been easier to just upload the (compressed) message catalogs. Keep up the good work!
gnome-applets (HEAD): committed.
gnome-keyring-manager (HEAD): committed. - "Impossível" -> "Não foi possível" - Correção de strftime(3).
gnome-netstatus (HEAD): committed. - "Impossível" -> "Não foi possível". - Header comments, translator_credits.
gnome-panel (HEAD): committed. - "Impossível" -> "Não foi possível". - strtime(3) - Panel button descriptions in the imperative
gucharmap: committed. - application description in the imperative. - updated FSF address. - updated translation. - minor fixes.
libbonobo (HEAD): committed. - minor fixes. - updated.
libgnome (HEAD): committed. - updated, and minor fixes. - "tecnologia assistiva" for "assistive technology". - "impossível" -> "não foi possível". - "caracter" -> "caractere". - "customizada" -> "personalizada". - always repeat the valid options for gconf keys! (eg: "\"icons\" (apenas ícones)\").
libgnomeui (HEAD): committed. - updates and minor fixes. - "link" instead of "vínculo" (see our mailing list for that).
Committed nautilus-cd-burner to trunk. Thanks.
Nautilus HEAD committed. - "link" instead of "ligação". - "Você tem certeza DE que ..." - "não foi possível" instead of "impossível". - always quote with \"content\". - updates.
Epiphany HEAD committed. - "link" instead of "vínculo". - Other changes as in the initial report. - Always quote with \"content\". - Updates and random minor fixes.
Revised, completed and committed totem to trunk. Thanks.
Sabayon (HEAD) was fixed, updated and committed.
VTE: "updati, fixi, commiti." :) - "Run": "executar" instead of executar. - "CaracterE". - \"double quotes\" instead of `these ones'.
GOK: committed.
GTKHTML (HEAD) committed. Besides updates, this translation has some fixes: 1. "Link" instead of "vínculo"; 2. "Disposição" instead of "layout"; 3. Better accelerator key compliance with the gtk+ translation. 4. Tooltips in the present tense. 5. Initial caps and other minor fixes. 5. See bug #410262.
GtkSourceView committed. - Partial update; - Minor fixes; - "CaracterE" - \" instead of ['`] - "Whether to do": "fazer ou não" - "Indentation": "recuo" - "Check": verificar - "Brackets": "parênteses" (there is no generic word for "parenteses", "colchetes", "chaves" and "< >", but the parentesis happen more often) - "Key": "chave" instead of "tecla" (two messages)
Created attachment 83084 [details] gtksourceview I sugest some translations in gtksourceview. This traslations are in Ubuntu 6.10
About gtksourceview... I agree with Washington's patch. I found two errors of translation: "Special Tokens" -> "Tokens Especiais" : because an programmer understand Tokens (=> compilers) "RPM spec" -> "Especificação de RPM" : instead of "Spec de RPM" as it was previously I translated: "Objective Caml" -> "Objective Caml" : because it's a program language) "Switch" -> "Comandos de Switch" : because I don't like of "Escolha" for this context Someone forgot some typo errors (and Washington didn't correct them): "Variavéis" -> "Variáveis" "Variavéis de Classe" -> "Variáveis de Classe" "Variavéis Globais" -> "Variáveis Globais" "Variavéis de Instância" -> "Variáveis de Instância" "Pseudo Variavéis" -> "Pseudo Variáveis" "Variavéis de Expressão Regular" -> "Variáveis de Expressão Regular" "Palvra Chave Sensível a Maiúsculas/Minúsculas" -> "Palavra Chave Sensível a Maiúsculas/Minúsculas" Then.. I suggest another patch with Washington translations and my fixes.
Created attachment 83103 [details] gtksourceview updated by amadeu
Created attachment 83104 [details] [review] gtksourceview updated by amadeu My previous attachment was wrong (I forgot the fix about "Palvra"). Now.. This is the correct file! :P
Created attachment 83194 [details] VTE HEAD update VTE HEAD: - 1 new string translated - "Modo de pixel %d desconhecido.\n" instead of "Mode de pixel %d desconhecido.\n"
Committed, thanks! Next time, please package your translation with gzip (to avoid wasting bandwidth and storage capacity) and mark the attachment as if it was a patch (but it shouldn't be really a patch) to allow us to mark them as obsolete, committed etc. Keep up the good work! 2007-02-24 Leonardo Ferreira Fontenelle <leonardof@svn.gnome.org> * pt_BR.po: Updated Brazilian Portuguese translation by Lucas Mazzardo Veloso <lmveloso@gmail.com>.
(In reply to comment #98) Hello, Amadeu! I see "Char literal" is translated as "Literal de caractere" while "Grave literal" became "Grave literal". How can we escape from this lack of parallelism? No need for another attachment, just say what do you think. BTW, I corrected "pseudo name-beginning-with-consonant" to "pseudoname-beginning-with-consonant", and "caracter" to "caracterE" (all lower caps, of course!).
Well.. I searched a lot but I didn't see an use for this "grave literal" on the syntax highlight then I didn't understand the context. I used the ubuntu translation in this case. I believe that "Grave literal" means '`' char then "Literal de Crase" it's an possible alternative, you don't?
*** Bug 412125 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Gnopernicus: committed. - "Popup menu": "menu de contexto" - "impossível" -> "não foi possível" - "status" -> "estado" - "suportado" -> "com suporte" - "Listener": "observador"
GNOME Terminal committed. - "Detach (tab)": "destacar" instead of "desvincular" (because of gtk+-properties) - "Whether to do ..." : "Fazer ..." (short description), "Fazer ou não ..." (long descr.) - "Link": not "vínculo" anymore - Double quotes instead of the (already scarse) single - "Tecla de atalho" instead of "atalho de teclado" when appliable, because the latter term can also be used for "tecla de acesso" and "hot key". - "Restaurar o terminal" instead of "resetar o terminal"
gedit: committed to HEAD. - CaracterE; - Double quotes; - Three dots instead of ellipsis; - Link instead of vínculo or ligação; - Plug-in instead of plugin; - "Delete": "excluir" instead of "apagar"; - Updates and random fixes.
Created attachment 84031 [details] tanslations in gtksourceview
(In reply to comment #107) > Created an attachment (id=84031) [edit] > tanslations in gtksourceview > Committed, thanks! 2007-03-05 Leonardo Ferreira Fontenelle <leonardof@svn.gnome.org> * pt_BR.po: Updated Brazilian Portuguese translation by Washington Ferreira Lins Neto <washington-lins@uol.com.br>. This closes the nastiest translation bug report I've ever seen (and I was the one to open it...). If someone feels like committing the corrections to gnome-2-16, even if they'll never be release (because .3 was already released), be my guest.
Created attachment 84129 [details] [review] Updated translation for Orca (Not Completed)
I'll commit it, and maybe complete its translation. Next time you attach a file to a closed bug, please reopen it :) That way it will be listed in our "TODO".
(In reply to comment #109) > Created an attachment (id=84129) [edit] > Updated translation for Orca (Not Completed) > Committed, thanks! I translated some strings, too. 668 translated messages, 8 fuzzy translations, 37 untranslated messages. 2007-03-07 Leonardo Ferreira Fontenelle <leonardof@svn.gnome.org> * pt_BR.po: Updated Brazilian Portuguese translation by Fábio Nogueira <deb-user-ba@ubuntu.com> and Leonardo Ferreira Fontenelle <leo.fontenelle@gmail.com> (me). 2007-03-07 Leonardo Ferreira Fontenelle <leonardof@svn.gnome.org> * pt_BR.po: Fixed header comments to credit Jonh Wendell <jwendell@gnome.org>. If someone completes Orca's translation, (s)he should open a new bug report for that.
Created attachment 84350 [details] Review of gtksourceview translation Some proposed changes to gtksourceview. Please discuss (Sorry, I don't have time to comment on them now, maybe tonight :)).
Committed with some fixes. Thanks!
