GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 471342
Wacom Tablet driver is sometimes not being recognized
Last modified: 2012-10-30 13:23:51 UTC
Wacom Tablet driver is not being recognized from time to time on GIMP's start up (happens spontaneously, unpredictable). Basically I can paint with mouse, but not with tablet. After GIMP's restart tablet was found. It happened few times, as I said spontaneously, and I couldn't repeat it on purpose.

I am using Wacom Bamboo Pen&Touch and Gimp 2.6.7. Each time I wanted to use my tablet with GIMP I had a problem that it wasn't listed in GIMP preferences. Olny the communicate "no extended input devices" was given. I have tried all proposed solutions on the internet and there is one that works every time for me. GIMP must be started using BABOO pen and not mouse (then amber light is on) and in such case tablet is always recognized. I hope this will help developers and the bug will soon be fixed
