Description Marc Weber 2013-04-09 14:13:47 UTC
Its great that gimp can import .psd. However it would be much nicer if gimp could warn if it has trouble dispaying some data - such as color gradients.

I simple note such as "gimp encountered some features it cannot display correctly" would be enough to make yourself double check the results with proprietary software.

Such a warning would indeed be useful. Patches welcome.

"some data - such as color gradients"

What's that?

I don't know what exactly Marc Weber meant (and I don't know the PSD format feature list) but I took it as just an example. I agree it would be useful for GIMP to warn for anything it does not understand in a PSD. Be it this or other features.
