Description lendvai 2009-03-02 01:55:15 UTC
Images in some html messages are not loaded on Ubuntu Hardy Heron, Evolution 2.22.3.1

Links are not broken (they open up fine in firefox)
'Always load images' option is enabled under HTML messages
CTRL+I doesn't help at all either.

Distribution: Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy)
Gnome Release: 2.22.3 2008-07-09 (Ubuntu)
BugBuddy Version: 2.22.0

I have attached two such mails. One is in English, the other is in Hungarian. Never mind the text of the latter: the main point is, that it is a HTML message, and none of the images are displayed.(I deleted my address from these messages)

I am happy to give any further information that might help to solve this issue.

I have been seeing this as well in 2.28.1 in Ubuntu. The example I most often see is Google Calendar reminders that get forwarded from my gmail account. Last I checked under Thunderbird (as well as in the gmail web interface) the envelope image appears just fine, but not so in Evolution.

Thanks for a bug report and test data. I tried both messages with actual master (which is ~2.30.0) and all are showing me all the images (or more precisely, none is showing any unreachable image picture.

I'm marking this as a duplicate of bug #557016, but if you can, please add there (sanitized) email from the google for testing, or try to test with the upcoming evolution 2.30.0+. Thanks in advance.
