Evolution does not display some images in HTML e-mail.
It seems the reason for this is that Evolution requests the images via HTTP/1.1, but the web server treats this as an error.  If the images are requested via HTTP/1.0, the images are transferred & displayed properly.
Currently, one such web server is innovyx.net.  I can provide a sample e-mail if necessary.
