GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 240931
VCard / VCF not properly imported (umlauts wrong)
Last modified: 2013-09-10 13:55:52 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you are doing. Description of Problem: When importing a Netscape address book into evolution, things work almost perfect. Almost. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. create a Netscape address book with contacts 2. create group of contacts in Netscape 3. export and import that address book into Evolution (LDIF) Actual Results: Special characters in single contacts (like ü in Müller) are converted correctly, groups of contacts are converted, but the names contained in that groups are NOT converted correctly. The import format is LDIF + UTF8. Evolution is 1.2.2.
changing subject to a more specific one. this is related to bug 253856, perhaps it's even the same?
