Description ralf-engels 2006-03-10 23:17:19 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Tried to import a v-card with a special character (umlaut) in filename.
After selecting the filename the "next" button stayed grayed out.

Steps to reproduce:
1. File->import
2. next
3. import single file -> next
4. select file with umlaut in filename

Actual results:
Button "next" staye grayed out

Expected results:
Button "next" should be activated

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
Would like to add the offending file, but seems like I can't.

v-card with special character in filename

Ah, managed to add the file finally. Hope that the filename stays intact

i cannot reproduce this here, a file containing an "ü" in its name gets imported without any problems. what's your exact LOCALE/LANG (i'm running de_DE.UTF-8)?
Comment 3 ralf-engels 2006-05-22 19:22:50 UTC
Ah,
I have LANG=de_DE.ISO-8859-15

Maybe some kind of incompatibility.
I guess the filename is checked before activating the "next" button.

No idea what would be the best solution.

Even tough I have a problem with CSV importing (see Bug 440818), I couldn't reproduce this VCARD problem either. This example file is imported fine here in Evolution 2.8.2.1.

Closing as this could not be reproduced by two people, plus assuming it's obsolete anyway nowadays.
