GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 219865
NAMES'S LIST
Last modified: 2013-09-10 14:00:39 UTC
If i add a name with acents spanish in a names's list, the system put rare signs.
I could reproduce this one: Description of problem: If you a contact whose name has non-ascii characters to a mail list, the non ascii characters appear in a header-like way. Steps: 1. Add a contact whose name has a nonascii character 2. Create a new list 3. Add the contact created before 4 Acual results: The name in the list will appear with the standard ISO-8859-x character conversion as if it was a header already Expected results: It should show the name as in the contact list regardless of any mailing standard. How often does this happen? Always

I noticed this bug as well in 1.2, a Contact with 8-bit extended ASCII characters show up in the Contact list editor as something like: Dan = ?ISO-8859-1?=4F=27=46=61=72=72=EE=6C?=<dano@xcs.ximian.com> upgraded to normal and set milestone of 1.4 due to all of the duplicates
