GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 576478
[Windows] Redirect Help->Contents to a web page
Last modified: 2011-10-22 06:30:28 UTC
Evolution-2.22.2-4.msi downloaded and installed on March 14. Attempting to use as replacement for Outlook. Using OpenOffice to replace MSOffice. Complete install run but no help files. No Quick Reference, No Submit Bug Report available
We don't build help with evolution msi as it helps in reducing installer size in considerable amount.
OK I understand that. I am looking at using Evolotion to replace MSOutlook on 9 platforms at my home. Eventually this will grow to 150+ family members. Help files will help immensely in being able to convince my extended family to give Outlook. How do I get a complete build (msi) with the Bug Buddy and help files, etc? Bob
IS there anyone out there that can tell me how to get a complete build?
Fridrich has an installer for 2.24.5 http://go-oo.org/~fridrich/win32/evolution.msi Debugs for the same http://go-oo.org/~fridrich/win32/evolution-debug.zip It is built with help enabled. Please try it out and post your comments. I'll get the installers posted once verified.
Installed using ~fridrich/win32/evolution.msi Installed complete version option Agter install completes dialog box with this message: "Migrating.... The URL http://go-oo.org/~fridrich/win32/evolution.msi reports as "Not available on this server". Is the version with the help files available anywhere else?

If its the builds from http://fridrich.blogspot.com/2010/05/experimental-evolution-installer-for.html , I'm having the same problem, trying to call the non-existent help viewer GNOME uses. Maybe the help link could be replaced with a link to online documentation?
