GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 569078
Update documentation for subtitle functionality
Last modified: 2009-02-13 06:49:31 UTC
I would be great, if totem could load the .srt subtitles too (today it loads just .sub and maybe some others). .srt is the most common subtitle format on the internet to be found.
Totem does support .srt subtitles. Can you give more details about the situation you're experiencing where it doesn't work?
oups, sorry, the autoload works ok. it's just not documented in the Totem Manual (or at least with the one boundled with my ubuntu 8.10: "Totem Movie Player will automatically load and display subtitles if the file which contains them has the same name as the video file played and the extension asc, txt, sub, smi, or ssa.")
Changing bug to suit.

The patch in bug #496647 addresses this, so I'm marking this bug as a duplicate of that one. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 496647 ***
