Description Sandy Armstrong 2008-10-13 14:02:09 UTC
I can't seem to drag a URL from Firefox onto a note...the note doesn't make itself available as a drop target. This prevents things like the bugzilla add-in from working. Could be a gtk+ on Windows bug?

From dupe:

Please describe the problem:
drag and drop functionality with other applications does not work, e.g. text or
link (for bugzilla plug-in) d-n-d. this problem occurs both ways from and to a
note.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open notepad
2. open a new note and write something
3. mark the text and drag-n-drop to notepad

or

1. open firefox and load a page
2. open a note
3. drag-n-drop the url to the note

Actual results:
nothing.

Expected results:
that the texts or urls inserted to the draged application

Does this happen every time?
yes

Looks like a gtk+ bug, mega bummer:

Comment 4 bugra 2009-05-28 07:59:14 UTC
this bug should depend on gtk+ Bug 561973 – GTK+ on Windows lacks generic inter-process DND support
Comment 5 Sandy Armstrong 2009-06-02 17:44:51 UTC
Thanks bugra, good catch.
Comment 6 bugra 2009-11-11 14:09:44 UTC
bug 561973 has been closed and reopened under bug 601534, therefore this bug should depend on bug 601534
