Description aelman 2001-09-10 00:48:40 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:

From GMC, I can drag MP3 files and directories onto the XMMS panel applet and
XMMS will play them. I can also drag files/directories onto the XMMS window
itself. From Nautilus, I can drag onto the XMMS window, but _not_ onto the
panel applet. Unlike bug 44907, the panel applet does not highlight and the drag
cursor does not change.

* REPRODUCIBLE: Always

* STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Add the XMMS applet to a panel (Applets -> Multimedia -> XMMS Applet). Drag an
MP3 file or a directory of MP3 files from a Nautilus window onto the applet.
(Compare with the same from a GMC window.)

* ACTUAL RESULTS:

 Nothing happens when I drag from Nautilus.

* EXPECTED RESULTS:

  It should have highlighted the applet when I dragged into it, then begun
playing the dropped file or directory after drop. This is the behavior from
GMC.

I wonder if this is similar to bug 44907 (can't drag into netscape), but the
apparent behavior is a little different as I note above.

Batch move all 254 PR3 P5 bugs to 1.0.1.

Could this be the same problem that causes bug 45334, perhaps caused by the
problem mentioned in bug 44725?

Taking bugs previously assigned to Pavel, assigning them to myself. Will parse
them out at my leisure , but many are GnomeVFS bugs we should look at for 2.0

This now works. The applet doesn't properly update the title, but this
is an XMMS bug not a Nautilus bug.
