Description Frederic Crozat 2004-09-03 17:59:34 UTC
Unlike evolution 1.4.x, evo 1.5.94.1 doesn't translate default folders
(like Sent, Drafts, Inbox and Outbox) in localized name for non US locale..
Comment 1 Not Zed 2004-09-20 09:58:25 UTC
any idea when this broke? it definitely worked in earlier 1.5
evolution versions.

fix?
Comment 3 Frederic Crozat 2004-09-21 18:40:41 UTC
Seems ok for me
Comment 4 Alvaro del Castillo 2004-09-22 16:00:43 UTC
The patch is working for me for the Spanish translation, but
translators need to update es.po in order to work, I have contacted
them to follow the solution.
Comment 5 Not Zed 2004-09-24 04:48:28 UTC
its been committed and the i18n team notified
Comment 6 André Klapper 2004-10-11 13:10:32 UTC
evolution1.5-2.0.1.0.200410061620-0.snap.ximian.8.1: the names are
translated in the *folder tree*, but *NOT* in the grey box above the
folder tree. there's still the english word, so reopening.
screenshot attached.

screenshot, "Inbox" should also be "Eingang"
Comment 8 André Klapper 2004-10-13 12:39:22 UTC
they are also untranslated in the "defaults" of the account editor in
the preferences. one chooses the drafts folder in one's own language,
but it gets displayed in english. same evolution version as above.
Comment 9 Gerardo Marin 2004-10-13 20:11:20 UTC
Andre, contact the German translators.
Comment 10 André Klapper 2004-10-14 00:54:45 UTC
gerardo,
this has nothing to do with my german locale.
the second problem also happens with "es_ES" or "ru_RU" as locale. the
names of the folders are correctly displayed in the folder tree, but
only the english word appears at "tools | settings | mail accounts |
edit | defaults | sent and draft messages | drafts folder"-box and "|
sent messages folder"-box.
Comment 11 Gerardo Marin 2004-10-14 21:54:16 UTC
Andre: thanks. So it's a string not marked for translation somehow.
Ugh, we're under string freeze :-(
So milestone goes to 2.1 unless decided otherwise.
Comment 12 JP Rosevear 2004-12-08 19:54:53 UTC
Not, I don't think this is a string freeze issue, the translations are
available, we just have to use them.

Comment 19 André Klapper 2005-03-21 11:14:04 UTC
michael, could you take a look at bug 273885 (i've added you to cc
therefore)? seems like this isn't all done yet... :-(
