GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 247564
Add CSS support for the evolution mailer
Last modified: 2012-06-18 09:25:02 UTC
Shouldn't evolution be able to interpret HTML stylesheets, so that HTML mail with CSS could be displayed properly? There's something called Libcroco at http://www.freespiders.org/projects/libcroco/ is that something that could be used to enhance evoltion with CSS support?

It would be a great enhancement to evolution. And I think it's time to fix it now because of the UI rework and the development of evolution-express. Please consider this bug.
Work is already underway to ditch GtkHTML and use WebKit/GTK+, which supports CSS. "Are we there yet?" comments are not helpful.

Closing as WONTFIX since there are no plans to add CSS support to GtkHtml. We're well aware of the need to move Evolution to WebKit/GTK+ and don't need a bug to track it.

Note: This will be FIXED in Evolution 3.6 due to the move from GtkHtml to WebKit for rendering HTML emails. This will not be FIXED in the codebase of GtkHtml, that's why this is closed as WONTFIX for GtkHtml.
