Last modified: 2009-02-21 23:02:01 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg) Package: eggcups Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.8.0 unspecified Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc Synopsis: eggcups crashed while reconfiguring printer Bugzilla-Product: eggcups Bugzilla-Component: notification Bugzilla-Version: unspecified BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.8.0) Description: Description of the crash: Kinda complicated... I printed out a document directly to printer. The printer was out of ink so it stopped accepting documents. I tried to delete the document from the printing queue, but failed. Restarted cups a few times, didn't help. I reconfigured cups to use a different printer for the same queue, then printed a test document. Then eggcups crashed. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: How often does this happen? Additional Information: Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/eggcups' (no debugging symbols found)...Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1". I observed this when I had two print jobs being displayed by eggcups, and I deleted the printers they were trying to print to using system-config-printers. (I deleted the printers because they weren't set up correctly by HAL, so nothing was coming out).

Is this still an issue in a recent version?
Not sure about other users, but now running CentOS 5.2 with GNOME 2.16 and not seeing problems.
I assume it's fixed. No dups for more than a year now. Thus closing as OBSOLETE.
