Create a simple spreadsheet (I'll attach one in a moment) with data like this:

9/1/02  400
9/2/02  500
9/3/02  600

and graph it.  The graph ends up with labels like "37530", which seems to
be a lack of noticing that the data is a date.  (The label on the graph
doesn't  change when you reformat the column from date to general.)
