Description Adrian Custer 2002-09-24 16:54:02 UTC
Feature:
when the last worksheet is closed, gnumeric remains running but opens the
default "new" setup.

This sets up a parallel with launching. If we launch gnumeric and then visit
a recent file, gnumeric now replaces the contents of its window with the
saved file. Couldn't "closing" this file have the reverse behaviour?

I realize we have discussed this before but thought I would again.

Mathematica does what you are asking for, and it is imho Mathematica's
most annoying `feature'.

I think it's fairly evident that the core cabal is strongly against this.
And the HIG says not to do it.
