Description Brolin Empey 2005-03-31 23:54:16 UTC
Distribution/Version: 2000

When you select Close from the File menu, Gnumeric quits if you are closing the
last open document. Personally I really dislike this because I always end up
quitting the application without intending to do so. Furthermore, this behavior
is inconsistent with Excel 2000, from which Gnumeric's UI is largely "inspired".
In Excel 2000 (which is also an MDI-style application, of course), closing the
last open document does not quit the application. Maybe this could be made an
option (enabled by default, so that it is consistent with Windows MDI apps), so
that people who like having the application quit when they close the last open
document can still have it their way.
