Gnome-terminal (currently 1.9.7) only
cuts/pastes the last line of a multiline cut.
This appears to be true of both X-windows cut/pasting
and gnome-terminals own cut/paste.

Note that copying from some other application
(like netscape) then pasting into a gnome-terminal seems
to work correctly.
