Last modified: 2018-03-25 16:53:13 UTC
Created attachment 370051 [details] link-layer area_GIMP2.9.9 GIMP 2.9.9 The link-layer area in the Layer dialog is not obvious. It is difficult for a novice to see that there is a set button there.
Created attachment 370080 [details] Hidden-layer-icon GIMP 2.9.9 The hidden layer area is also unmarked. Of course, it does not affect the old users. These issues also involve the icon set! The attachment has a "hidden layer icon" renderings. (Hidden-layer-icon: Remove the "eyeball")
Created attachment 370086 [details] Layer panel Interval line Black interval lines can be used for bright and dark subjects. This will solve all layer view problems at once. Please look at the picture in the attachments.
Created attachment 370112 [details] New contrast Adding interval-line will help identify the position.
This is basically the same issue as bug 772135 which proposes another approach (an eye-shut icon). I am closing your report as a duplicate of this other bug, but added first a comment there to link this report and your proposition for later thinking of the best approach. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 772135 ***
