Description Electric Prism 2018-03-15 21:10:31 UTC
When a person clicks on their mailbox [ my-name@gmail.com ] it yields a blank view.

Expected behavior would be for it to summarize a list of my folders and Inbox however I would be happy with it simply pulling up my Inbox or forwarding my selected menu-entry to "Inbox".

Thanks for a bug report. I'm not sure, when the mail account node is selected it should not show the Inbox folder, especially when the Inbox folder has its own node in the folder tree, but I found a similar request, thus I can be wrong. There's filled a feature request to show other information on the right when the node is selected, similar to what Thunderbird shows, but I cannot find that bug now. I'm marking this as a duplicate of the former bug, with the same request as you have.
