Description Johnny Proton 2005-11-16 23:48:44 UTC
I have quite a few IMAP accounts and I find myself constantly collapsing and
expanding my accounts folders to find my stuff.

The folder view on the left could be condensed quite a bit if the messages in
the Inbox were displayed when I clicked the name of the account, instead of just
showing nothing, which is what it does now. That way, I could just click on the
name of the email account and view my messages there, and keep my folder views
collapsed.

Other information:
The Macintosh "Mail" app does this currently and it is very helpful. If I had
this type of functionality, I would use IMAP a lot more.

Good to have this feature. When we click on any account, mails in 'Inbox' could be displayed. But may not be possible for Evolution 2.8. Setting target milestone for 'Future'.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
