Description tony.vitonis 2017-11-24 07:06:00 UTC
Any attempt to manually enter a security price causes GnuCash to crash without warning.

The operating system is Ubuntu 16.04.3, with kernel 4.4.0-101-generic.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open GnuCash.
2. Select Tools > Price Editor.
3. Expand the security list to see an existing price entry.
4. Highlight the entry and hit the Add button.
5. Change the price and hit the OK button.
6. Watch GnuCash disappear.

The problem happens every time. Upon reopening GnuCash, it reports that the lock is still held. A workaround is to change the price in an existing price entry, but then obviously the history is lost.

When invoke from the command line, these messages result:

Found Finance::Quote version 1.38

This happens for me as well.

OS:GalliumOS 2.1
Kernel: 4.8.17-galliumos

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Price Editor
2. Select an existing security
3. Select "Edit"
4. Enter a new price
3. Select "Apply"
4. Select "Okay"

Note: If you select "Apply" and then "Cancel" it does not produce a crash. Also, If you select "Okay" without selecting "Apply" first it does not produce a crash.
