Description Diane Trout 2017-08-25 22:05:18 UTC
Hi,

A user report in Bug 786543 on the GNOME bugzilla that they couldn't find the following channels in the Polari room list.

#engagement
#gnome
#gnome-art
#gnome-design
#gnome-hackers
#gnome-shell

based on the list from https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/IRC

I found that #gnome-art was empty, but #gnome and #gnome-hackers are both quite popular. Shouldn't they they show up in /LISTs?

Polari passed the bug to Telepathy
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102398I
and I tried /LIST with ERC in emacs and the room list with the KDE IRC client Konversations. So I don't think the problem is just with Telepathy but somehow involves the GIMPnet IRC server.

I have yet to see #gnome appear, #gnome-hackers is appearing right now, but I'm pretty sure I didn't see it yesterday.

Thank you,
Diane

yeah, they are currently +s. Probably cruft from the SPAM attacks we suffered from. Someone with ops should remove it.

Ok thank you... I'll pass it on.

Original agitator here :)

If this is currently "probably should remove secret mode" should it be RESOLVED NOTABUG?
