Andre, that comment mentions the fact code is still being merged back to git.gnome.org, why are we archiving the repository then?
Ah thanks, seems I missed that! That only makes me wonder what happens if I directly pushed a commit into the GNOME Git Tomboy repository. Will my change get overwritten next time the GitHub code is merged back into GNOME Git? (Probably more of a question to Alex who is CC'ed here.)
That part, I don't know as I wasn;t around when the GNOME git -> GNOME GitHub repo sync was established and I have never tried pushing into the GH repo directly, as the [wiki page](https://wiki.gnome.org/Sysadmin/GitHub) makes it clear the GH presence is supposed to be read-only. I've always pushed to GNOME git and then it was synced to GH. In general, I see only one reason currently of having the GNOME git repo active - I see translators use it from time to time and I pull their [very welcome] contributions to current Tomboy's repo (on GH, outside of GNOME repos, in the "tomboy-notes" organization). I have no idea how to point them to the new repo and ask them to submit PRs for their updates (and whether that fits their workflow at all), but if that's possible, then I think we could archive the GNOME git repo for Tomboy. If you have any ideas on that - please let me know.
...and just to finish my idea - if it's not possible to redirect translators to using new repo, I'd rather leave the current one active.
Andre, what's the final agreement on this? Given Alex's last response should this bug be marked as RESOLVED/INVALID?
Yes, INVALID. Again, sorry!
