With some directory selections - I could not determine a specific pattern - Nautilus keeps recounting files and total size in the property dialog.
Once such a selection is found, the bug is always reproducible.

Confirmed with GNOME 3.24 (openSUSE Tumbleweed) & 3.22.x (openSUSE Tumbleweed, Fedora 25), all standard installations without additional extensions.
