When selecting "System language", menus show a mixture of French (system language) and Greek. Greek is used for "About GIMP" (GIMP menu), Export, Export as and Close window (File menu).
Language as shown by ENV is LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8. In system settings Greek appears in 4th position in preferred languages (after French, English, English US and before Vietnamese).

When selecting "french" in the language, everything is ok.

Thanks for reporting, this is a know bug. We have a few reports about GUI appearing in mixed languages, as your report, and sometimes about the whole GUI appearing in a single (but wrong) language on MaxOSX.

I will therefore close as duplicate of bug 772392.
