Hi,

I downloaded latest DMG:
https://download.gimp.org/mirror/pub/gimp/v2.8/osx/gimp-2.8.18-x86_64.dmg

and Gimp menu "Gimp > About Gimp" label is in Russian language.

@Michael, no, bug 770708 only talks about locale mismatch, but here we have English locale messed up. Related ticket in different menu location Bug 772393 is the same — incorrect content in English locale.

I feel that must be the same though. You have stuff in Russian, your third language in OSX settings, others in Lithuanian (cf. bug 772393), your second language, and the rest in English. It just looks like a variant of bug 770708.

But let's keep these separate for now until someone investigates the whole OSX language problem.
This said, I think we can consider this bug and bug 772393 as duplicates at least.
