GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 76432
backgroud picture location is hardwired
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The default location for teh background picture appears to be hardwired to assume gnome2 is installed in /usr - results in no background picture by default and is confusing
This was fixed, wasn't it, lauris? Please close if so...
Any idea how to fix that? The only solution I have in mind is to turn wallpaper off by default - default image is specified in schema file in libgnome module.
s/lauris/jody/ And no, I don't have an answer to the last question :)
errmmm - why not just point the location correctly at the $PREFIX against which gnome is being built? It woould still be a bit broken for relocatibility, but thats a whole different kettle of fish?
The schema should be generated using intltool and a .schema.in file. I can do this if there is consensus that this is the right way to go. Although I still think that the background image should be stored in a more central location.
