Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2016-01-14 15:02:06 UTC
It used to be that when you create a new file, Nautilus would automatically scroll to wherever it is located and enter renaming mode for it. Since the popover renaming implementation, this is no longer the case.

To reproduce:

- Open Nautilus in iconview mode in a folder with lots of files (such as ~/Documents).

- Right-click in an empty space, create a new file

- Notice you have no visual feedback whatsoever that the file was created, it's nowhere to be seen because it's alpha-sorted to the "N" letter.

Then you have to scroll to it and manually rename it.

Renaming title to represent one of the bugs:
"Nautilus should scroll after file creation"
