Description Carlos Garnacho 2015-11-18 09:13:44 UTC
After the last mishap in gnome IRC servers, #gtk+ and #gnome-shell need a registered nick in order to join, so at startup they look like a channel you were disconnected from, those appear in the side pane, but with 0 people in.

That's more or less to be expected, however when I register my nick with NickServ, it's impossible here to reconnect to those, I tried just doing "/join #gtk+", leaving the chatroom and entering again, to no avail.

I heard there's planned NickServ integration, and that'll be indeed cool to have, I'll hopefully be able to join these channels through polari sooner than that :)

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version of Polari, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/polari/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
