Description Michael Biebl 2015-11-14 16:21:11 UTC
Version: 3.18.2

After the upgrade to 3.18.2, removable media is not shown at all anymore. Not in the sidebar and neither under Other locations.

I tested several USB sticks and external hard drives connected via USB.

GTK+ is version 3.18.4

From 758110,
Since nautilus 3.18.2 (avaible since 14/11/2015 on Arch). A mounted USB HDD doesn't show up neither in sidebar nor in 'Others places'.
A USB key does show up in sidebar as before.
When 'Others places' is selected, the HDD shows up for a fraction of second and disapears.
This is major because there is no way to unmount the HDD without a terminal.

Step to reproduce :
- connect a USB HDD drive to a USB slot
- open nautilus

This seems to be fixed now after the update to 3.18.5
Feel free to close the bug report.

Thanks.

The GTK+ update to 3.18.5, just to be clear.

I confirm that with the recent update of gtk in 3.18.5 in Arch, the problem is solved and the HDD USB shows up in the sidebar.
Michael maybe you can close this bug.
