GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 757234
Nautilus can not calculate the size of total multiple files selected at once
Last modified: 2016-07-04 13:42:19 UTC
I have selected 3.16 but I can reproduce this bug since Ubuntu (Unity & GNOME) 13.10. Nautilus 3.18 has that too. Simply, navigate to your "/" directory as there are multiple folders and files there. Select some of them, including folders and the files at the same time. Now try to view their total size from the properties. It will never stop counting, it will be like 10mb-100mb-2gb-......-10mb again and again. You can also try it on any directory which has multiple folders and files, bugger than 4-5 gb in total, including external hard drives (NTFS or EXT4).
