Description Lars Karlitski 2015-05-22 11:14:16 UTC
PeasEngine:loaded-plugins includes builtin plugins and its documentation suggests to bind that property to a gsettings key.

Following that advice can lead to gsettings writes on app startup (something we want to avoid at all costs) when the key doesn't contain all builtin plugins.

Also, builtin plugins are usually not meant for users to enable/disable, and are thus not part of user settings. Applications might not want to save them to gsettings.

I've just proposed a patch for totem to do work around this (bug #749722). It would be nice if peas supported this use case.
