Thanks for a bug report. I see the icons shown right in the center with gtk 3.14.6, but gtk 3.16.0 shows them off. I suppose they (or the used theme) added some margin or gap around the icons which breaks this. There is a bug #747729 for UI improvements, which covers this icon offset too, thus let's move this there.
