Description Alexandre Franke 2015-03-29 23:54:00 UTC
In any opened document, use ctrl+F to make the search box appear. Start typing, you will see "0 of X" where X is the total number of matching results. Try the same thing in gedit, you'll see "1 of X" instead and the cursor will be moved to the first occurrence.

This was fixed in commit 096e30e62d6b0357fd8975e339d3562fb7bc5cd6.

Thanks for reporting!

This patch broke a couple things, so reopening for now.

so i think the current behavior is right. until you hit enter, the search isn't going through the occurences, it's just rubber banding which is a sort of search preview. I think the fix for bug 756404 will make this more clear.

I'm going to close this one after talking to afranke on irc.
