Description john.alfredo 2002-03-13 22:19:09 UTC
Hi,
I switched to sawfish as per louie@ximian.com (see bug#65770) and although
I have only been using sawfish for a day have noticed that telnet sessions
via gnome-terminal to Solaris boxes receive control-char garbage at the
shell prompt when I resize them. This is much worse than windows wandering
between desktops (the problem under enlightenment).

This is plain-vanilla RedHat7.1 running the bundled sawfish WM. Is there
some configuration that will eliminate the garbage to STDIN? Thanks for
your help.

You should probably update sawfish; the sawfish shipped with RH 7.1 is
fairly old, and I cannot reproduce this bug with newer versions.

Newer versions are probably available from Red Hat (with RH 7.2) or
definitely available from Ximian (via Red Carpet.)

Been NEEDINFO'd for several months. Assuming Luis' suggestions of
upgrading sawfish fixed the problem. Reopen if this is not the case.
