Description Nuno Dias 2015-03-04 19:43:30 UTC
Can't move window to workspace x, only up and down, if I have several workspaces, as usual I have, moving a window from workspace 1 to 5 is a pain.

There are shortcut actions for this in the keyboard settings (without a predefined keyboard shortcut). Are those not working or did you just not set them up?
Comment 2 Nuno Dias 2015-03-05 10:27:04 UTC
Yes, I know there are shortcuts, but is not very frindly, with the mouse it was two clicks (this was working before this version of gnome-shell), with keyboard shortcuts I need my two hands and several fingers and I can't find a easy way to jump from workspace 1 to 5 and 5 to 3 etc.
Comment 3 Florian Müllner 2015-03-05 11:36:16 UTC
Oh, so this is about dragging window previews to the workspace switcher? Sorry, but this was not at all obvious - this is known issue that has been fixed in 3.15.91.

Comment 4 Nuno Dias 2015-03-05 11:48:34 UTC
No, this is not the same bug, this is about moving a window to other workspace without going to the window preview, this is about click in the top bar of a window and move the window to other workspace, right now there are the option to move to workspace down, and up, before this version of gnome-shell we had the option to move to the workspace 1,2,3, etc in the top bar of a window.
Comment 5 Florian Müllner 2015-03-05 12:05:07 UTC
OK, so you mean the window menu - this would have been a lot easier to figure out if you had mentioned the word "menu" at one point ;-)

This happened when moving the window menu implementation from mutter to gnome-shell (see bug 726352), though there was a request (backed by at least some of the gnome designers) to drop it much earlier in bug 647773.
