Description Jim Nelson 2015-02-12 21:55:23 UTC
In the new email I'm now receiving from the updated Bugzilla, some of the hyperlinks are relative instead of absolute paths. For example, if I click on a bug # linked in the comment itself (i.e. using "bug #442398" syntax) or a link to a duplicate bug (i.e. "This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug #442398"), the link in the email is to [show_bug.cgi/?id=442398], which obviously doesn't resolve.

Seems fine in this email? I assume this is in the HTML email right?

testing: bug 163163
Comment 2 Olav Vitters 2015-02-12 22:27:38 UTC
Ah, HTML contains:
  <base href="https://bugzilla.gnome.org/" />

What email client?

> What email client?

I'll give you one guess.

My bad. Sorry for the noise.
Comment 4 Robert Schroll 2015-02-13 04:00:29 UTC
Reason #172 HTML email is evil: Who uses that tag? I mean, really!
Comment 5 Jim Nelson 2015-02-13 19:33:10 UTC
This might be one more argument for using IFRAMEs (bug #731532).
Comment 6 Berend De Schouwer 2015-03-10 13:38:10 UTC
For examples where this breaks bugzilla, see bug # 745602
Comment 7 Robert Schroll 2015-03-11 01:38:09 UTC
*** Bug 746002 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 8 Michael Gratton 2017-01-27 07:56:41 UTC
This was fixed when we switched to using per-message web views in Bug 765516.
