Using gnome 3.14.1 on Arch (x64), on a tablet PC (Iconia tab w500).

When writing an address in the Epiphany address bar, everytime i type a letter, a suggestion dropdown appears (not it only says "Search the web"). When i press the next key, the dropdown goes away, but my key does not appear in the bar. I need to press it a second time for it to appear. Now the suggestion dropdown appears again, so the process repeats itself, resulting in the need to press each key 2 times (except the first key).

This does not happen when using a keyboard, only when using the onscreen keyboard (touchscreen).

Still an issue in 3.20. Closely related to (fixed) #742724.
Essential touchscreen usability issue... Basically, when the address bar dropdown opens while typing, a touch outside the dropdown menu is needed to dismiss it and continue typing. This means pressing every key twice on the onscreen keyboard to type in an address, so long as the dropdown keeps opening with every keypress.

Touches on the onscreen keyboard should register as key presses on a physical keyboard? Or maybe simply override the click-outside-menu-to-dismiss requirement for all touch events?

If it helps, this behaviour seems to be correct in the chrome browser.
