This bug seems to be reproducible for me, with gnome-software-3.14.0-1.fc21 and PackageKit-1.0.0-2.fc21:

* If dconf-editor in installed, uninstall it.
* Search for dconf-editor in the overview and click on the result presented by the software search provider.
* Click Install.

Expected: Label changes to "Installing..." and spinner starts running
Actual: Nothing seems to happen, though PackageKit is actually installing dconf-editor.

Now click Install again. A dialog appears that says "Sorry, this did not work." (Presumably, PackageKit does not like being asked to install a package that is already being installed.)
