GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 738150
RFE: add tooltips/description to header bar buttons, other descriptions
Last modified: 2015-08-23 16:22:40 UTC
I'm currently using gnome-disk-utility-3.12.1-6.fc21.x86_64. I used it to copy disk image to usb flash drive, and saw two buttons on header bar, one "gear" button, probably some settings, and other which has "power" symbol on it, I can probably guess what it does, but for regular users can be difficult. ... Also now when I was checking all this, I noticed other buttons specific for the device "|>" ("play") /or/ |_| ("stop"), '-' and other "two gears" don't have tooltips, this will also be useful to add, if possible. This is just a suggestion, "you" (as developers) are free to implement it in better way, or not implement it at all. Thanks! ;-)

this is fantastic. Just curious, has any work been done on making the volumes grid accessible? Visually, the grid of volumes looks like a four by four icon container, but I could be wrong on the dimensions, my site isn't very good, just enough to see that there are icons in the volumes section, but not much more.
There's a design mockup for making the grid into a list which looks rather more accessible: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=737671
this is great. Either way, icon grid or list, as long as it's accessible I'm happy with either. I'll be happy to test accessibility if the list gets implemented. Is this going to be put into effect in 3.18? I ask because joanie has informed me it's in ui and beta freeze, and I don't know whether accessibility fixes are important enough exceptions to be committed.
Let's discuss in bug #747490
