GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 734387
Google Calendar not syncing properly
Last modified: 2014-08-25 12:37:44 UTC
Since last Tuesday, July 29th, evolution has been asking for my gmail password for Calendars. I have my gmail account setup in the online accounts section. My mail and contacts are working fine, but when I select calendar it asks me for a password. The issue can be found here: Ubuntu: http://askubuntu.com/questions/505852/why-wont-my-ubuntu-gnome-accept-my-google-password Arch Linux: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1443994 Fedora: https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/51272/online-accounts-gmail-password-unexpectedly-fails/ I believe that Google has changed something with there calendar system and did not publicize it. I am seeing this pop up more and more. Thanks for any help you can give! Brent
Which Evolution version is this about?
I apologize for not including that. I am seeing it in two different versions: CentOS/RHEL 7 - 3.8.5 Fedora 20 - 3.10.4 Thanks! Brent
Hi, I also have troubles with Evolution (), GOA and Gmail but found the following workaround: "As a workaround (evolution 3.12.4) you need to manually add a new calendar of the type Google with as username your email account."
This sounds similar to bug 728496, except that bug affects the Gnome Shell calendar. Are they the same bug?
They sound similar but in my case there are no authentication modals (after having cleaned the GOA and leftovers with Seahorse. I've seen these modals before though). After re-enabling the Gmail account with GOA There's just a yellow error bar in Evolution's calendar (the shell doesn't seem to care that it doesn't work).
