GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 734291
Evolution Calendar Cannot Connect to Google Anymore
Last modified: 2014-08-25 12:36:44 UTC
Evolution's Calendar would complain about missing authentication and will not sync with Google Calendar. This happens on GNOME 3.4+. It personally happened to me on GNOME 3.12 but I have been informed that it's occurring on 3.4 and 3.10 as well. Reference: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+AntoineSaroufim/posts/YGqa2f1C9Xu
I can confirm this on Fedora 20 with Gnome 3.12.
Confirming bug persists on Gnome 3.10.4 (Fedora 20) but not on Gnome 3.8.4 (Fedora 19).
CORRECTION: Apologies for the above comment (comment 2). It was premature. Gnome 3.8.4 DOES have issues but they are different than 3.10.4. Gnome 3.10.4 on Fedora 20 Has a popup Authentication request box which does not accept the password. In Settings/Online Accounts, the accounts appear to be connected, but they are not. Viewing the connection in Evolution shows a failed connection. Gnome 3.8.4 on Fedora 19 There is no Authentication Request popup occurring, but Settings/Online Accounts show "Credentials have expired" for all Google accounts. After updating credentials it continues to say that the credentials are expired. Removing and re-adding the accounts is also unsuccessful.
