GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 731926
When launching about:overview, the cursor should already be in the location bar
Last modified: 2018-08-03 20:19:29 UTC
It would make starting to browse more efficient. That way, if the web page one is looking for is not in the Overview page, then one could already start typing instead of having to use the Ctrl + L shortcut. I'm using GNOME Web 3.12.1 in Fedora 20 (copr repository)
I think it is already happen now.
When the Overview page is the last visited page, and that one restarts Epiphany, it does not happen, no. It does when opening a new tab or opening a new window, though. In fact, I think the solution to this would be that whenever one visits about:overview, the location bar would automatically empties itself and the cursor would automatically get in the location bar.
