Description John Rose 2014-05-16 12:39:16 UTC
Nautilus (1:3.10.1-0ubuntu9) no longer gives option in ‘Connect to server’ to specify type e.g. ssh & user/password. Thus, no obvious method to connect to an ssh server in order to access files on a remote or LAN PC.
PS this is happening in Ubuntu Trusty tahr.

However, this is dialog has changed to overcome identified problems with the old design and add a new feature (list of recent servers). See bug 682637 for more details and discussion on this change.

If you identify particular difficulties, shortcoming or bugs while using the current "Connect to server" window, please feel free to file a bug for each of them. For reference, reported issues include bug 704753, bug 704872, and bug 710278.
