GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 726971
Area around widgets in the client side window title bar should not be sensitive
Last modified: 2018-08-03 20:15:50 UTC
Since I've started using epiphany with the client side window title bar I've already suffered several times the problem of double clicking the URL bar to select the text and ending maximizing/minimizing the window. The URL bar leaves some narrow space above and below for the title bar. These small areas are sensitive to double clicking. Hence, on a quick movement to select the text it is really easy to end double clicking the title bar. I think this area should be done insensitive to avoid this behavior. Wonder if this should be actually a discussion to move to a more generic interfaces forum but, as it is happening to me in Web so far, I decided to report it here.
What the version you use? 3.11.x or 3.10.x?
3.10.3 coming from GNOME3 Team's PPA in Ubuntu Saucy 13.10: https://launchpad.net/~gnome3-team/+archive/gnome3

The new approach may be enhancing this problem but I doubt it is solving it. Let's leave the bug unconfirmed. I will come back to it once I'm able to try the 3.11.x/3.12.x version.
